i (almost) got new carpet.
well i'm getting new carpet.
we took out my old baby blue carpet out of my room and replaced it with the carpet our friends gave us when they replaced theirs. but after it was put down, my parents decided they don't like it. haha. i couldn't care less. but i guess they're right. the newish old carpet looks kinda lame. but i'm leavin to college soon anywhays (BYU-Idaho September 12, 2011!!!) so my opinion doesn't really matter.

as you know i got very behind while i was doing my Star Spangled Girl play... but the status is now 3 more assignments finished and waiting to be turned in. I'm doin it! (if you haven't figured it out yet-homework is my nemesis. mostly. unless i understand it.. then i kinda like it :)

I got onto my stats, an saw that there were 6 pageviews yesterday. I got all excited, but then I realized I had been looking at my blog all day so it was probably all just me.
I think I realized why I'm not happy. I only think about myself.

I believe it is incumbent upon me to solve this problem of negativity and skepticism in myself.
I will look for and write down simple and uplifing things I observe around me and perhaps i will write them down on here.

One good thing that happened today was that the English 2010 teacher decided to change our mid-term comprehensive part of the test till text Tuesday, and only have us do the written part of the test today. That will give me time to finish act II of othello and study some more. I just finished my image analysis, the written part, and as far as I know it went quite well. :)

I will also note the incredible kindness and concern my friends show to me. My group of friends call ourselves the Gospel Doctrine Class. The boys are the Elder's Quorum, and us girls are the Releif Society. We have a ton of fun:) But especially the releif society are tue ones that have really been super awesome-ly nice:) I am always amazed at the genuine concern that especially Maddison, McCall Thornton and Summer Moss have shown to me. I love them so much. They really seem to care as no on has ever cared about me before outside my family circle. They are so awesome and I'm so grateful for them. I hope to be like them someday.



I'm feeling better already:)

morality ATM

Man. Awesome seminary lesson.

I totally feel like a sinner now..

We talked about this concept called the "Morality ATM".

God sent us here with $1,000,000 in each of our ATM's.

But each time we make choose to withdraw some money from it, by doing anything with another person, or even without another person, that stimulates us sexually, that money can never be returned.

When we choose to make withdraws from the bank account, that is "money" that we'll never get back to have with our future spouse.

We waste the feelings God gave us on "some chump" as my seminary teacher put it, when if we had saved them, our first experiences, with our future spouse they would have been that much better.

I feel like a total sinner.

I probably only have like $500,000.

Ok I won't be that hard on myself.

I'm not too bad, but I could have been much better.

I have to say though-my first hand hold and kiss was not with "some chump".

But we still should have been more---is abstinent too strong a word?

We shouldn't have cuddled ant held hands as much as we did..

We took quite a bit out of our accounts I think.. It was both of our first times pretty much for anything.

But the experiences with him did make it easier to cuddle with the next guy-the real chump-that I do regret having had anything to do with.

Well thankfully they're both on their missions now-well one of them is- the other is about to leave. So I didn't do too much damage.

I'll have to do some serious repenting.

That and a few seminary classes before this one have pit lots of things in perspective for me.

He also gave us a wonderful lesson on the temple.

It's going to be amazing. I'm so thankful for the gospel. And for second chances, repentance and forgiveness.

it was going to be yellow.. technically it is... under the grandiose picture of me.
but they have this fun new template design and i just went crazy. it was quite fun actually.
until i wanted to show it to my mom.
after i had been working on it for like an hour (the stinking computer kept freezing up.. i almost drowned a kitten-that's a figure of speech-) i was all excited to show it to my mom.
i shouldn't have been.
i yelled upstaris: "mom! come see my hard work i've been working on for the past two hours!"
she comes down all excited to see what homework i had finished. "what have you been working on!?"
i realized my mistake in saying anything.
she was disappointed in me.

play is over, but now i’ve got to do all the make-up homework i’ve let slide for the past two weeks here soon.. the test in math is in two class periods and i haven’t done any of the (~7) homeworks for that unit yet.

my life is gonna boil over.

and times that stress times two for my chemistry class.

i get to stay in advisory (where the naughty children stay during lunch that have bad grades) and have been there for the past two weeks.

i don’t think i’ll get much done for my miss pg pageant..

i need a tutor.

*correction i need a kicker-in-the-butt person that will make sure i do my homework.

i’m a lazy bum.

just sayin.

but i like me.

i’ll think positive from now on.

i got my 5 page paper finished and turned in.

i kinda forgot to make the title over the “Works Cited” but whatever.

i did get a 96 on my analysis of a play. out of ONE HUNDRED.

yeah son.

and i’m on another “Facebook Break”.

that means i de-activated my account

until i can get my life under control again.

because i bet i waste 3-4 hours a day on there. on average.

i’m good at not going on at all on sundays though. keepin the Lords day hol-AY.

favorite story

well i’ve just been laying around the house for the past three days. it’s real exciting. thankfully Danica (my wonderful roomie from SLC where we used to live who is living with us for a semester while she is going to UVU,) has Netflix on her computer and so i could watch pretty much whatever i wanted that i could play right off. (some stuff you can’t watch online but some you can.) I watched Julie and Julia today. WAY cute. SUPER awesome. LOVED it. And i’ve been reading, i read a book by Kitty De Ruyter, As I Have Loved You, talking about her experiences in the concentration camps and how she found the LDS church. SUPER awesome. LOVED it. haha.

Wow i actually feel like blogging right now. long time no real talk :)

my life has been preeeetty dang awesome lately. i’ve been very blessed:)

the play (Music Man) went AMAZING and i made a bunch of new awesome friends.

I earned enough money to buy a used iPhone, which has been great, it’s used you know so it only drives me crazy every once in a while with it’s occasional freezes :)

I have been a slacker at writing in my journal though… i used to write at LEAST once a day, if not more… (yeeeah i’m strange.) but now i hardly get to it once a week. which i feel guilty about..

k um, aunt cassity, boys are cute. i just realized it. and they have actually been paying attention to me, of all people lately. i feel so flattered. haha

K GUESS WHAT.  my friends Summer Moss and Ursula Valdizan and I have planned a fiesta at Aunt Jeanie and Uncle Von’s party house.  They are actually letting me use their amazing backyard for a end of the summer party. I love them with all my being.

He’s like hey, Eliza Shumway, right? total and complete shock. how in the world does this cute (and hilariously funny in the variety show) kid know my name??? turns out he was in my fourth grade class when i lived in Springville for like 6 months in between houses. i was way flattered he even recognized me let alone remember my full name. wow.
